My role is to bring creativity and technical expertise together to design and develop engaging digital graphics and animations for all social platforms, digital adverts and digital displays. I collaborate closely with surrounding teams to translate client demands into compelling visual designs. With the ability to adapt, the majority of this role focuses around the social team and being reactive to design briefs.

At Northamber I was one of two marketing designers responsible for producing all marketing collateral. This includes HTML emails, digital adverts, social media campaigns, website maintenance & all print material. A big part of this role involves good time management and speed as we deal with a high volume of work from our products managers and vendors.

Digital Creative

June 2018 – April 2019

Producing high-end email newsletter templates and landing pages for customers using the dotdigital email marketing platform and the Adobe Creative Suite for both design and code. This was also a client-focused role and included end to end project management responsibilities, using a number of online platforms including Wrike. This role required client management skills and communication, capture of client brief and branding assets, and a great deal of creative interpretation. The seasonal; nature of email marketing meant there were opportunities to be highly innovative around events such as Black Friday and new season sales periods.

After a progressive career in the publishing industry & at Time Inc., my job role became completely focused on the digital side. I introduced the creation of HTML newsletters in-house and working closely with the development/digital team to help maintain some of the company’s websites. A large part of my role involves creating animated advertising banners, skins & leaderboards, working with clients on their marketing and advertising campaigns to promote their business, giving marketing & design advice, HTML e-newsletters, video editing, making wordpress posts, designing marketing posters, flyers & banners for events, creating marketing content for clients social media accounts, helping develop widgets and features on some of our micro sites to help increase interactivity.

I started working in advertising, setting and designing advertising within a number of magazines such as HIFI News, Stamp Magazine and Model Collector. I was promoted into designing editorial for a number of other titles within the company. This involves using skills such as text formatting, Re-touching, Cutting, Layout Design, Graphic Design and creative thinking. Also, as an important part of the design team, I have worked with the marketing team to create the best visual content for the retail side of the business which includes online animated banners, external adverts, show posters, logo’s and online advertising (animated/still).
